The font management solutions of the Font Agent family from Insider Software are an interesting alternative to the applications from Extensis.

Font Agent, available for Macintosh and Windows, is available for local installation and for use with Font Agent Server. Font Agent offers automatic activation of fonts in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; Quark XPress and other applications. The solution provides comprehensive and fast search functions and also integrates fonts activated in Adobe Fonts, for example. Font Agent uses FontDNA™ technology to check the integrity of fonts and detect duplicates.

Font Agent Server is a powerful and feature-rich solution for company-wide organization, optimization and distribution of fonts to Font Agent clients. It helps to ensure consistency of font usage and compliance with font licenses. Font Agent Server can be installed locally (on premise) or obtained in a European cloud as a SaaS solution. The font server distributes the fonts quickly and securely, supports single sign-on and can be administered remotely.
